A short week after our ICO, we have room to breathe, for the first time in weeks. 🙂 Time for an update for our community.
We had some questions what our current roadmap and plans are, based on the results of the ICO.
We are currently in two hydro power stations:
- Langenlois (near Schönberg). This was our first station. Andreas of BTCBusinessConsult visited us there just before our ICO and posted his impressions on his YouTube channel.
- Waidhofen an der Ybbs. We are currently expanding at this station and negotiating for a full take over of energy production.
These two stations generate enough power to meet our demands, and we don’t plan to add another station right away.
While we are all for transparency, for competitive and security reasons we are sometimes hesitant to disclose the exact location of our stations. Competitors often try to overbid us.
Incorporation
We had to adjust the company name to “Hydrominer IT-Services GmbH” and therefore the publication of the incorporation was delayed. We expect it to be finished this week.

Bounties & social media
We are currently in the final stages of calculating our bounty program. We will pay all bounties by December 15h.
Some Austrian media raised questions about our Facebook page and the social engagement we got there. The high engagement is of course a result of
- the high interest of the community,
- the bounty campaign,
- the paid marketing we did on our posts, increasing their reach.
This is standard for all ICOs and considered standard practice today.
Next steps
We have already received our ordered Antminer S9 units and are deploying them right now directly in the Waidhofen station. We are currently evaluating whether we need another container with GPUs for Altcoins. The awesome team behind the TechMagnet YouTube channel, who happen to be based in Vienna as well, filmed our standard container.
Together with a partner, we are working our HydroMiner mining dashboard for the website and expect to have a beta version of it up and running by year’s end.
